Shares
Yathu SACCO offers two categories of shares that allow members to build ownership and access a variety of financial benefits.
Redeemable Shares
Members are required to contribute a minimum of MK10,000 per month. These shares serve as collateral for loan applications and can be withdrawn after giving a three-month notice. Holders of redeemable shares are also entitled to dividends whenever the SACCO records a profit.
Non-Redeemable Shares
Members contribute a once-off payment of MK30,000 towards non-redeemable shares. These attract a higher dividend rate than redeemable shares. Non-redeemable shares are refundable only when another member purchases them
